Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has called on All Progressives Congress members to forgive past administrative grievances and unite ahead of the 2027 general elections. According to Premium Times, Radda made this request on Saturday in Katsina during the launch of the APC state campaign council. This body is designed to support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and Radda’s own bid for a second term. The governor noted that his government has delivered major infrastructure projects in all 34 local government areas and maintained regular stipend payments to party officials at state, local, and ward levels to keep the organization functional.
During the gathering, Radda cautioned members against assuming victory based solely on the party’s brand strength. He framed each party member as a representative for Tinubu and other contenders, encouraging coordinated efforts from polling units up to the federal level. The chief executive expressed optimism about the APC’s chances in Katsina and nationally, thanking residents for their continued support and patience during his three-and-a-half-year tenure.
APC State Chairman Bishir Gambo-Saulawa praised Radda for bolstering the party and backing the construction of the new state secretariat, which hosted the event. Gambo-Saulawa confirmed that local candidates have received certification from the Independent National Electoral Commission. He also credited former chairman Sani Ali with starting the secretariat project. Radda named Gambo-Saulawa as deputy head of the campaign council. Other key appointments included Ahmed Dangiwa as Director-General and Abdullahi Aliyu Turaji as Secretary-General.
Hannatu Musawa, the federal Minister of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy, also attended. Premium Times reported that she lauded Radda for the state’s infrastructure progress. She explained that President Tinubu asked her to collaborate closely with the governor to advance Katsina’s development. Alhaji Sani Aliyu was appointed as the council’s organizing secretary, finalizing the leadership team for the upcoming electoral push.
