Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly opened the Egypt Forum 2026 in the presence of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, describing the event as a dedicated platform for the citizen, whom the President called the "hero of the story." According to Egypt Independent, the forum operates under the slogan "A Look at Today… A Vision for Tomorrow" and aims to facilitate a constructive dialogue between the state and various segments of society, including ministers, civil society representatives, and opposition members.

Madbouly explained that the forum was preceded by extensive public engagement, including opinion surveys and listening sessions at the National Training Academy where over 450 citizens contributed approximately 150 ideas. He noted that more than 4,000 academics participated in preparatory sessions across 28 universities, while the forum's official website recorded 17 million views and over 61,000 registrations. The Prime Minister highlighted that 50% of registered users are between the ages of 18 and 35, indicating significant youth participation in the policy-making process.

The agenda for the upcoming days addresses specific thematic areas, starting with "Human Building" on the first day, which covers education, culture, and social values. Subsequent days will focus on integrated development, social protection, and economic transformation, including discussions on the post-IMF program and debt management. Madbouly stated that the goal is to move from general ambitions to precise executive plans with clear targets for the period extending through 2030.

According to the report, monitoring of citizen opinions identified five primary concerns shared by nearly 70% of participants: education, inflation control, healthcare, wages, and security. The forum intends to produce actionable solutions with clear responsibilities and measurement indicators, ensuring that the government listens to citizen criticisms while presenting its achievements. This approach is designed to establish a transparent framework for evaluating performance and improving living conditions in the coming years.
