Cloud kitchen operator Curefoods has started piloting a new food delivery application called MegaBite in Bengaluru. According to Inc42, the service is currently operational only in the HSR Layout neighborhood and is available on both the Play Store and App Store. The platform focuses on affordable offerings from Curefoods’ existing brand portfolio, with dishes priced in the range of ₹49 to ₹199.
The app features items from various brands within the Curefoods ecosystem, including Rolls On Wheels, Olio Pizza, Krispy Kreme, Eatfit, and Arambam. Inc42 reported that the platform markets itself to value-conscious consumers by highlighting claims of "no delivery charges" and "no platform fee". Ankit Nagori, the company’s founder and CEO, announced the launch on social media, describing the service as a tool to make food delivery faster and more convenient for digitally-savvy users.
This launch represents Curefoods’ first attempt to operate its own delivery platform. It is currently unclear whether the company will handle delivery and fulfillment in-house or partner with third-party logistics providers. Inc42 noted that the company has not shared extensive details about the operational structure, and it declined to respond to queries regarding the launch specifics.
The entry into the budget segment comes as competitors intensify their focus on reducing fees and commissions. Inc42 identified Rapido’s Ownly, Swiggy’s Toing, and Swish Go as other services targeting the affordable food delivery market. This strategy follows the example of rival cloud kitchen operator Rebel Foods, which operates its own delivery app, EatSure, and previously launched a 15-minute delivery service called QuickiES before shutting it down earlier this year.
Curefoods, founded in 2020 by ex-Flipkart executive Nagori, has raised $150 million from investors including Accel, Iron Pillar, and 3State Ventures. The company secured approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India for a public listing approximately a year ago. The proposed IPO includes a fresh issue of ₹800 crore and an offer for sale of up to 4.85 crore equity shares, though plans were recently paused due to valuation concerns from mutual funds.
